It’s easy to just put on the television, or an electronic device with some educational apps in the hands of our kids, and hope they figure out the whole learning thing themselves, which sometimes they do, and most times they don’t. What’s difficult is sitting down and thinking through how you can intentionally and systematically teach your child something that would stick and eventually amount to them learning a new skill or gaining some knowledge of the world around them. Starting the homeschooling journey is difficult, and while we anticipate the reopening of schools to take over the educating of our children, nothing should stop us from impacting a few knowledge in them while the schools are out.
